This Friday we welcome Christine Phillips, the Stakeholder and Community Engagement Officer for the South East Metro Mental Health and Wellbeing Connect, to our first Casey Carers Cuppa of the year. For those who don’t know, the Mental Health and Wellbeing Connect provides focused support to families, carers, supporters, and kin and was a key recommendation of the Royal Commission into Victoria’s Mental Health System. The new program has been co-designed, and staff have a lived or living experience as family members or carers so they can listen, relate, understand, and support people who reach out.
Casey Carers Cuppa welcomes all carers! Whether you’re a familiar face at Different Journeys events or joining us for the first time, we look forward to seeing you at the Old Cheese Factory.
Meet other carers and talk to our carer peer support team who all have lived experience. Ask us about what services and supports are available and together we can explore opportunities in a safe and supported environment. We are specialists in the neurodivergent space.
